Today, I woke up with a to-do list emphasizing the word “study”. It’s definitely one of the least exciting feelings to wake up with- knowing that you’re waking up at dawn for the sake of studying test material that you only have 37% knowledge of & desperately trying to figure out when you’re going to finish that essay that’s due in a few hours.
But as I was taking time to start my day off with the Lord, He reminded me of the awe of His sovereignty over the still soft quietness of the morning, & I was reminded of the verse in Lam 3:22-24: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.”“
