Today, I watched Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood (click!) for the first time in my LIFE. It was REALLY, REALLY GOOD. I learned about how fortune cookies, crayons, guitars and rubber balls are made and watched videos about penguins and dinosaurs and bulldozers. So interesting. :)
It turns out that Mr. Rogers studied music composition in college (he composed all the music for his series!!), and later on became a minister. He wanted to “soothe the soul and nurture the soul” through television; and so he taught children to love themselves and others, told them how special and unique they are, and sang them songs teaching not to bite others (:D click!!) or quelling the common fear that you might get sucked into the bathtub drain if you get too close. HOW AWESOME IS THAT. :)
I want to go to a museum one of these days and just spend the wholeeeee day there, daydreaming and all that jazz. CAN’T WAIT YEAH.
dayseized. :)
