Today, I wrote my dad (whom I RARELY have ever talked to and have grown up for basically 15-16 years without) an email updating him about what happened 2010 and what might happen 2011. As a non-believer, he PROBABLY will have NO idea WHY I do/have done/will do the things I do/have done/will do, but that’s okay.
On Jan 1, 2011, I told Jesus that I will love my family better this year. My relationship with my mama has been really good for the past 2 years…now onto Dad and Sister. I don’t know what this means, and I definitely don’t NATURALLY want to do this, but Jesus knows better, and he tells me that I should grow up…to resemble him.
So, Step 1: Write Dad an email. CHECK.
Ohhhhhhh Dear Jesus. I’ve done my part. Now You work Your magic.

Today, I found out that my penpal and her family from the Philippines are going through some very tough times, and so I wrote her back an encouraging letter filled with lots of Bible verses and prayer. Day seized.

Today (slash this week), I came back to Jesus after a long time of keeping him at a distance. and. it. feels. SO. GOOD. Jesus undid my spiritual amnesia, hallelujahhhhh

Today, on our drive back up, we stopped at a vista point on highway 5 to look at the view. I’ve never seen such a clear and starry night in Norcal. Day seized.

Today, Kat and I gave our leftover chili cheese fries from “The Hat” to a homeless man in Brea, CA. Day seized.

Yesterday we went to California Adventure & Disneyland for a true adventure. Seeing World of Color was…breathtakingly amazingly stupendously outrageously extraordinary.
But even before that, I knew God was with us. We safely got to Disneyland and so easily it would’ve been hard to believe that we came on a day that reached full capacity! (Don’t worry, the freaky amount of people put any unbelief to rest) Despite the maxed out day, we had a 45 minute wait at Space Mountain-it’s usually 190 minutes…I KNOW! UNNNBELIEVABLE! What’s 190 minus 45? It’s winter break so I don’t even know, but I know it’s TOOO much! And Disneyland was having a 30% off discount at certain restaurants but only during a certain window of time, yet since Space Mountain worked out magically, we came at the perfect time & our meal was 30% off! And then World of Color…human words cannot describe. But to top it all off, we had Molca Salsa & all got home safe & sound. I think. I was dropped off first. HAHA
